Civil Arts- The Beginning of a Cultural Movement

Posted by Dondre Smith on

In celebration of the launch of our second F/W collection, CIVIL, we threw a Fashion Show/Pop Up Shop at the Jackson Junge Art Gallery in Wicker Park.

The theme of the event was centered around systematic oppression, police brutality, gun violence, and black on black crime in Chicago. We featured other upcoming designers, artists, and performers. I believe in collaborating with "competition." We all doing what we do for the same purpose.

I'm glad we was able to bring the city out and party in peace.

We want people to understand that ALMVGHTY is a movement, dedicated to uniting the youth through street fashion and culture. There's too much hate going on in this world, and not enough love and support.

Change starts within ourselves first. Once you change your life and become the best person you can be, then you can influence others to do the same.

You can check out recap photos from the event here
